A form of music therapy, adapted lessons use the structure of a private music lesson to achieve non-musical goals. While music-making and instrument playing may appear to be the central activity, the focus is on supporting the student's functional needs rather than perfecting their musical skills.

As a certified Neurologic Music Therapist, Emma collaborates with you and can help track progress through various standardized and functional assessment measures. If the student is seeing other healthcare professionals to target related goals, such as a Psychologist, Physical Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist, Emma is able to collaborate with them.
